Job Coaching Organization

Audio

Overview

The organizations that provide job coaching use professional staff who are trained to understand each person’s unique needs and skills. They can help make a plan for the future, offer advice about next steps, help people understand jobs that are available and help people to apply for jobs.

Some programs can serve youth and other ones may only serve adults 18 years and older. Each of the organizations listed in this guide provide services to refugees and immigrants. You have the right to ask for an interpreter when you meet with these organizations, and they may provide an interpreter in-person or by telephone if necessary.

The organizations provide these services to their clients for free. However, it is important that you reach out and register and ask to become a client of the program. This may require that you make an appointment–sometimes these organizations are very busy serving other clients and it may not be possible to meet with a professional staff member unless they know you are coming. If you arrive and do not tell them you are coming ahead of time, they may have to call you back or ask you to return another time.

We encourage you to click on each organization to understand a little more about the services each one offers. There will be a way for you to contact each organization you are interested in.
